Hi! I'm Tasha, a 36-year-old indie author from Sydney, Australia.

As a young girl, I learned that stories can change your mind and your world. I have enjoyed writing and creating for as long as I can remember. I've tried writing fanfics (yes, they're still on the internet somewhere), and I have a LOT of half-started drafts in my laptop, but Bound is the first story I have believed in enough to see it through.

I live a chaotic but simple life with my husband and our four cats; the Door Demon, the Screamy Boy, the Little Duck, and the Feathertail Princess (not their real names, but who actually calls their pet by their real name?!). I'm in IT now, but for fourteen years I worked as a primary school teacher. One of my greatest passions is/was using literature to inspire critical thinking and reflection in my students. Wouldn't it be incredible if one day my work inspires a shift in someone’s mindset?

 

Growing up, I was influenced by the important themes explored by my favourite Aussie authors such as John Marsden, Morris Gleitzman, and Tristan Bancks, and more recently: James Islington and Jane Harper.

 

My storytelling is driven by a strong belief in equity, inclusion, and the desire to confront injustice.
